Valley View is a vacation home up in the hills of the Blue Mountains. The design is inspired by the chalets in the area but with a refined, modern approach. Dark, steeply pitched roofs will shed the snow and the exteriors of stone and stained wood will help the dwelling blend into its forested setting. The ground level is designed for entertaining. The main rooms are wide open with views throughout and to the pool and forest beyond. The dining room spills onto the terrace through large sliding doors. The second floor is far more intimate. The rooms are nestled under the roof and the master is placed so that it can take in 270 degrees of the best views and have a terrace overlooking the pool.
